Grand Palais : Paris 2024 Olympics and Paralympics Games

© Paris 2024

Real treasure in the heart of Paris, the Grand Palais was built for the 1900 Universal Exhibition using the most advanced construction techniques of the time. Its majestic Nave, with its impressive glass roof, hosted major exhibitions and events for over a century, contributing to its international prestige.

In 2021, the Grand Palais closed its doors to launch a massive restoration programme. As these works draw to a close, the building is about to open a new chapter in its history: on the occasion of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Nave will reopen to the public to host the fencing, wheelchair fencing, taekwondo and para taekwondo competitions in an exceptional architectural setting.

Following Paris 2024 Games, the Grand Palais will be the venue for numerous cultural, artistic and sporting events, providing magical moments to visitors from all over the world! It will open in its entirety in spring 2025.
