So what can be seen in the Grand Palais today ?

As we believe in culture in the broadest sense, our programme is a mixture of fine arts, fashion, photography, music, dance, cinema, theatre and even sport. In short, there’s something for everyone!

It is actually nothing new: since its earliest days the Grand Palais has hosted a multitude of extremely diverse events, from the highly prestigious to the very unusual – traditional art salons like the Salon des Artistes Français, Salon d’Automne, Salon des Indépendants and since 1977, FIAC, as well as dance shows and concerts. It has also hosted equestrian competitions and even a boxing match with Marcel Cerdan Jr. in 1972. A witness to 20th century progress, the Grand Palais has seen the growth of car and aviation shows, as well as Ideal Homes exhibitions. Various old photographs tell the story of these events, which are still the stuff of dreams today.
