Pissarro in Eragny : exhibition trailer

21 March 2017
This year, the great and eldest impressionnist is back in Paris. The Musée du Luxembourg welcomes Camille Pissarro's masterpieces, more than thirty years after the most important exhibition ever dedicated to Pissarro in the Grand Palais. At stake : the artistic and social utopia nourrished by the artist !

In 1884, the painter and his family settle down in the village of Eragny-sur-Epte. In this beautiful country-style and rural area of l'Oise, Camille Pissarro produces more than 400 paintings, many drawings and watercolours. All of them tell us about his dreams of freedom and independence. Nature is for him a real source of artistic inspiration and a symbol of the peasant world.
